THE PLAINS -- Midlothian High School repeated today as the AAA girls champions in the Virginia High School League's cross country competition.

Midlothian had three runners finish in the top 15. Kathleen Lautzenheiser, the 2007 champion, finished second; Amy Witt was eighth and Paige Johnston crossed the line 12th.
